PCTEL is proud to offer Certified Public Safety Tester Training in Castle Rock, Colorado, hosted by Castle Rock Microwave and conveniently co-located with Westell BDA/ERCES certification training. Registration for PCTEL and Westell training is separate, but if you sign up for both you’ll be able to complete Level 2, Westell Hands-On ERCES Product Certification (CS14, CS40, & CS45) and PCTEL Public Safety Tester certification in just 3 days.
Join us on February 5 for PCTEL ® Certified Public Safety Tester Training. You’ll learn how to use PCTEL’s Public Safety Testing Solution and SeeHawk® Central Workflow Automation Platform to efficiently plan, execute, and submit code-compliant grid-based coverage tests. You’ll also have the option for your company to be listed as a Certified Tester on our website upon successful completion.
We also encourage you to register separately for Westell’s BDA Training on February 3-4 (select the correct event before submitting form). Westell’s class will cover the following topics: International Fire Code (IFC) and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) codes that jurisdictions may require, Federal Communications Commission (FCC) rules governing BDAs, antenna verification, uplink optimization for signals and noise, the importance of a test transmitter and a spectrum analyzer, alarming, BDA programming, grid testing, and more. A hands-on exercise and a written test must be passed to earn this certificate.

What You’ll Need
- Up-to-date PCTEL public safety testing kit with P25 technology option, and a laptop for SeeHawk® Central. One kit may be shared by two registered trainees. We may also have a limited number of test kits available to borrow at in-person training events. Please provide details about your equipment needs when filling out this form to request registration.
